After all the major characters where sketched and the digitising process was underway, we as a concept art department began brainstorming about the decoration of the facade of Santa's Workshop (the palace's facade) would look like.
[Divergence]: I started by doing some research and getting some inspiration from different images of decorated houses both here in Malta and also abroad.

[Transfortmation]: Elements gathered from inspirations:
- Use of soft lights to highlight the main features of the facade
- Wreaths with bows (traditional)
- Snowman statue (foreign idea)
- Grass tinsel to represent the christmas tree material
Part of the concept art department agreed on keeping the facade as traditional as possible, however, some members of the concept art where working separately on another idea which had a totally different approach as it was based on a modern design equipped with LED lightning.
We had a meeting together to see if there is any way that we could take elements from both ideas and incorporate them into one.
[Convergence]: After this meeting I made some sketches of how the facade looked like (as discussed). We also started generating some ideas for the interior of the palace which I sketched as well.

After discussing the idea with our tutors, we decided that it was better to go with something more traditional so as to fit better with the overall look of the Grandmaster's Palace. Thus, I generated a visual sketch of the new idea we had for the facade's decorations.
