After discussing the sketch I made of the facade decorations with the whole concept art team and both our tutors we agreed to move forward with this design as it adds interesting elements to the facade.
[Transformation]: Elements that make up the design of the facade:
After we identified the elements that would make the decorations of the facade, we split up the work amongst us so that to create sketches for the 2D and 3D department to follow.
[Convergence]: I was in charge of creating sketches of the column pumps to pass on to the 3D department so that they could model them in 3D
- Santa's Workshop sign (LED lit): gives an identity to the place
- Soft warm lights: typically used in facades for decoration
- Tinsel with lights: add more light to the facade whilst giving that christmassy feel
- 2 alarms near sign: will be an indication of chaos (will go off according to story)
- Column pumps: represent the fact that it is actually a factory, while giving an appealing look to the steady columns
- Nutcrackers: represents the toys that are being produced inside the workshop

[Sustainability]: I also created a digital sketch of how the whole facade would look like so that we have a clearer idea of the placement of decorations and objects.
