After getting inspired from existing installations we came up with the idea of having a glass cube coming out of the ceiling. So as to include the element of water we decided to fill the cube with black water, and a pump would continuously travel the water so that it drips along the four facades of the cube. The idea was to capture the journey of water inside the cube the same as we are capturing the journey of the student inside the school when it comes to the exhibition.
[Transformation]: So as to be able to make the installation possible we divided the work between us. PJ and Josef where in charge of the cube itself and the engineering behind it and Daphne and myself where in charge of the manifesto so that it could be installed near the cube.
[Sustainability]: The manifesto was done on an Illustrator file and sent to print on vinyl stickers. When it came to choosing the colour of the text we decided to stick to grey and mustard since the liquid inside the box would be black so as to represent our colour palette for the exhibition proposal.
[Articulation]: Finally PJ and Josef installed the cube in place while Daphne and myself put up the vinyl stickers on the walls. We tried to stick the vinyls in an interesting way so that the installation becomes more visually appealing.
