As proposed in the original concept, to identify each course we are not using colour coding but we are designing different patterns that represent each course.
As the pattern needs to represent the course the patterns will be designed according to the course rather than at random. I researched each course and took inspiration from elements that make up the course so as to design the patterns for each.
I started by making some sketches of the ideas I had for each pattern:

Here's a list of each course and where the patterns where inspired from:
Below find the digital design of all the patterns:
- Media Moving Image (BA & HND) : the patterns was inspired by the fast forward button
- 3D Design and Interiors (BA & HND) : since they use a lot of 3d modelling the patterns had to be 3D looking
- Graphic Design (HND) : inspired from the pen tool
- Interactive media (HND) : inspired from the design of a QR Code
- B.A (Hons) Graphic Design and Interactive Media : inspired from the patterns of the HND courses (combination of both)
- Fine Arts (BA & HND) : inspired from drops of paint
- Photography (HND) : inspired from the shape of a camera
